New to this website and within days of leasing an S model. How to I search this site for topics? (Warranty if I modify the stock cable for 240 V?, Info about charging units?)

Best way is using the Google search tool. Choose "Search" up above, but use the "Google custom search" line rather than the elaborate forum search dialog. You can also use regular Google search with "site:www.MyNissanLEAF.com" prepended to your search.

To answer your other question, if you mod the stock cable, it's no longer warrantied by Nissan. You should test it thoroughly before sending it off.

Remember, you must return the car, including the stock cable, at the end of the lease. They won't like the mod.

The first time you take it back for service, if they notice the mod, they are not going to be happy.

Actually, they will not care. It is not an issue.

Many dealers even encourage the mod since they know it improves the versatility of charging and thus the versatility of the vehicle.

Worse case, when you bring it back at the end of the lease, sell it to someone else in exchange for their stock unit. Or if you are getting a new leaf, swap it for the stock unit from the new vehicle. It's done all the time.
