If it is a VPN, probably should ban the whole subnet: xxx.xxx.xxx.*

VPNs allow anyone to hide where they are from, and are often used by spammers.

Same with any dynamic IP, such as cell phones, cable and DSN connections.

Well, AFAIK, most ISPs assign dynamic IP addresses to their customers unless they pay extra for a static one.

I also often access MNL via my cell phone and sometimes via a laptop tethered to a cell phone.

I'll try that - carefully - later tonight. I don't want to mess something up, or spend too much time blocking one spammer when I have several to deal with at the time.
