I just bought a used Leaf with no research! I've only found out that it has a maximum range of 32 miles wuth the heating on. Can I get a refurbished battery for the 2011 model in the UK?

First of all I am so sorry this happened to you. The older LEAFs had lower range to begin with and their batteries are pretty degraded at this point even in a nice climate like the UK. I hope you didn't pay too much. Most of us are in the US and Canada, I hope someone from the UK responds. I think Nissan will sell you one for a lot of money. There may be shops that can help with junk yard batteries and other solutions. I think I remember Fullycharged (a youtube show based in the UK) did a UK battery swap on the stars old LEAF you may want to find that episode. Try a search like Robert Llewellyn LEAF battery swap

A replacement battery won't be cheap, but you do have a few possibilities:

I believe there was a shop in Washington state that will referb leaf batteries.
One guy in here used their services.
If I remember correctly they had his car less than 2 weeks, replaced about a dozen modules, he went from 7 or 8 SOH bars back to 12 and they guaranteed the car will stay at 12 bars for at least a year.
And only charged him around $2,000.

If it were closer I might think of that for my 8-bar '12 that is becoming less and less useful by the day, sounds like a decent deal, unfortunately, while WA might be too far for me, I'd think it would be WAY to far for the OP, living across the pond :D
I was going to suggest a shop I saw posted about on MNL but it was in Scotland, and I thought even that would probably be too far.
