Thank goodness my wife generally lets me sleep in the house! You may want to negotiate a similar deal for yourself.

How high is the driver seat - I've read it is higher than normal cars because of the battery. But how high is it - compared to Altima/Maxima.

Also, what are the internal dimensions of the car, if you can get them.

Ofcourse, the eternal question. How many cars will be delivered in December - and every month after that.

I have two cruise control questions triggered by behavior I don't like in the Prius:

1. Will cruise control hold the specified speed while on a long steep downgrade, without using eco mode? Clearly this would require heavier regen than we have been told pedal-off non-eco mode would apply. Our Prius does not increase the regen, and speeds up unless we use the brake or switch to "B" mode.

2. Does cruise control work the same way either in or out of eco mode? I'm thinking of the facts that pedal-off eco mode has much heavier regen braking and that eco mode acceleration is milder unless you shove your foot through the floor. Our Prius turns cruise control off if we switch to "B" mode. In normal drive it uses very gentle acceleration if you resume cruise control after slowing. My Civic, on the other hand, uses very aggressive acceleration in that case.

mossyleaf - I'd like to get some details on the lead-acid aux battery under the hood. If there's an obvious part number, model number, or possibly group number and capacity?

Thanks!

To Mossyleaf, I have chosen you as my dealer. I live in San Diego. I have a pre-order of May 15. I have been informed by Nissan that i can order my car in January. When can I expect to take delivery?

Hi Stanley. My name is Brian Groves. I'm the Leaf Guy for Pacific Nissan in PB. I answer this for you. If the timeline stays the same for the August orders, I personally think that things will speed up by then, you should see your Leaf around May. That isn't a hard fast date though. It all depends on the people that are in line infront of you and also what changes Nissan makes at the factory based off of what occurs after the first couple months of orders. I hope that helps.

I think Brian's guess is a good one, but stil only a guess. There are a lot of variables here. For the 1st people to order in august they will be sending out more order emails than they will have cars to deliver in Dec. So the timing of how quickly you place your order actually establishes whether you get car one, two, etc. If there are more orders than can be filled in dec placed in aug, they will be pushed back to the next month, and so on.

To mosseyleaf and pacificnissanbrian,
Thank you both for your responses to my previous question. I appreciate your best guesses of when I can expect delivery of my Leaf .I thought I would receive my Leaf earlier than May. I believed it would arrive in March to early April. You must be assuming there will be fewer cars coming to the US during the first quarter than I anticipated. How many Leafs do you guys believe will be coming to the US by the end of March and then in April and May.This would be a good question to ask the Nissan Company people, when you are at their up coming Vegas meeting. As a follow up question to them, how many Leafs will be going to the car rental companys)Hertz, Avis, Enterprise etc.) during the first 4 or 5 months of 2011. Perhaps their deliveries are adding a couple of months on to my delivery date.
