The leaf seats reminded me of the Rogue I drive right now. High off the floor, sitting like a seat. Ton's of headroom especially in the front, and the back seats very similar to Versa.
Yes, Maxima is really nice indeed. And they were selling quite cheap too - no wonder Nissan almost went bankrupt !

So, I take it that Leaf driver seat is higher than Versa ?

Mossyleaf, thank you for your reply. Your participation on this blog is greatly appreciated. I am signed up with one of your sister Mossy locations in San Diego but they have not responded to the 2 E mails I sent them. I do not want to cause issues for you among your Mossy family but i am thinking of changing my Dealer preference to one of the dealerships you manage.

Regarding te Versa, you know I just don't sit in them that much to be cofortable to comment. I feel like a snob saying that :P Stanley, I can help with the communication with the store you are working with if you want to pm your email and the location to me. I don't mind.

mossyleaf-

how long and what kind of a test drive were you able to get to drive the Leaf? City only? or both Freeway and city?

It was a short drive around the parking lot at the hotel we were at. they had cones set up so you could see power off the line, manuverability, handling, etc. Pretty short for the drive, but they did spend a lot of time showing us the controls and features. I have some video up on the mossy nissan kearny mesa facebook page http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pag ... 6374141040

Very nice. Thanks for the link. Any word on when the email to go to the dealer and order the leaf will happen? (I heard Aug. 20-27.)

I have heard the 27th. So for us it's T-10. We are really excited.

Can you find out if we'll be able to turn OFF the stupid VSP? I heard it comes on automatically at start up, but there's a switch to turn it on and off. Someone has said that the switch is going to be removed for production. Thanks!
Sorry but I don't think it's stupid at all. I've almost been run over by a Prius reversing out of a parking spot on electric only power. (I'm not deaf)
I'm not talking about the 'reverse' beep, that's necessary and ok. I'm talking about the VSP that stays on until you reach 30 or so mph. Sorry, but that's stupid. It isn't necessary. They've done plenty of research, and found it isn't needed at all, plus it defeats the purpose of a 'quiet' car. :)
