Thinking about getting a 24m lease on a 2017 leaf. Located in Seattle.

Current offer from dealer is $99 per month + $2000 due at signing, for a total of $4376 over 2yrs.

Questions:

1. Is this a good deal, or should I try for better? I have seen a Dec. 2016 thread where a user leased a new leaf w/ a monthly of $116 + $0 down, is this a feasible goal to strive for right now?

2. What other fees can dealers add on to the total due at signing, besides the disposition fee due at vehicle return?

3. Dealer gave me a breakdown of the costs, which was very confusing. Any particular traps I need to watch out for?

This is my first time leasing a car, any tips/pointers appreciated! Thanks!

Disposition is not from the dealer. From the glossary at https://www.nissanfinance.com/nis_helpunauth#top "
Disposition Fee

A fee set and billed by NMAC for the sell or "disposing" of a vehicle. The fee is NOT charged if you purchase your lease vehicle. "

As for #3, yes leasing has a lot of confusing language. https://www.edmunds.com/car-leasing/leasing-glossary.html may help a little. Someone in late 2010 or early 2011 posted their lease form w/numbers filled in. That made things less confusing. Can't find the link right now.

You should ALWAYS only compare the total cost of lease (down payment + all payments and fees). Do not get sucked into comparing monthly payments or putting any $ down for a "feel good" lower monthly payment. If the car's totaled, you get none of your payments (and none of your down payment) back. I tried to emphasize this at http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24023&p=496008&hilit=feel+good#p496008 and http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=24023&p=496263&hilit=feel+good#p496263.

If this offer is for a Leaf S, get a price for a leaf SV with no options. The SV will have a heatpump that will use much less power in your climate, plus remote charging and climate control access via Nissan Connect. If you won't be driving more than 70 miles or so at a time, and don't need extra bells & whistles, the S will suffice. It would be better for both usefulness and convenience if the S had the "Charge Package" option, which provides both a fast charge port and a much faster onboard charger. (If you will be charging via 120 volts only, the latter doesn't matter.)

good point about the down payment. I re-negotiated and got a $145/mo w/ $0 down, still in process w/ haggling over the monthly, but now just worried that they would hit me w/ other hidden fees even w/ $0 down.

I was offered $184 a month for 24 month lease on a 2017 SV last month in the SF bay area. So if you can get in the $140~ or lower should be pretty good. I end up getting a 36 month lease so I could get the CA rebate.

I have never leased, but $145 a month would sorely tempt me. Good job!

P.S. Does the price include TTL ?

So final leasing price was $135/mo (23mo), $0 down, inclusive of all fees (is TTL title/tag/registration/license fees?), with loyalty and VPP discounts.

It's $2500 per https://cleanvehiclerebate.org/eng/eligible-vehicles.

However, there are numerous eligibility guidelines: https://cleanvehiclerebate.org/eng/eligibility-guidelines. I've never received one (previous lease was too short and I knew that going in) and now w/the income limit, I make way too much $ to qualify.

I qualified for the $2500 CA rebate.

The monthly payment is $205 a month with zero down for 35 month for a 2017 SV.

After the CA State rebate and the PGE rebate, the monthly payment is brought down to $120 a month. Pretty sweet for a brand new car that has navigation and free charging for 2 years.

Congrats. Is this for S or SV ? Where in Seattle did you get and can you share the sales contact. Thanks
