There are some over-the-top optimistic claims being made in a recent review,
That's the essence of what gets posted. Some would consider what gets posted as hyperbole!

but the reviewer does not really get into the hard questions of whether Nissan's recent battery changes have shown themselves to hold up well in the heat over time and miles, and to allow for roughly the same frequency of DCFC as the better liquid-cooled competing models.
Most all seem to forget those issues.
Yes, I noticed that today when I was browsing. It was great to see the reports of happy Leaf owners in less hot climates, but I'd love to see some really solid information about how the battery is holding up in the hotter climates.

GerryAZ (who just posted in the 62 thread) is one we are following closely. He is in Phoenix area and has probably the best battery health on the board for a Plus over a year old.

Thanks, yes, that rings a bell, I'm remembering now, and that's good. What we need to see is his data and dozens or hundreds more like him, set up in an objective unbiased way in a database, and then we can be sure of what's going on.

My 2019 SL Plus is not quite a year old with only about 18,300 miles so it is too soon to know for sure, but it is significantly better than the 2015 which was much better than the 2011 at the same age.

Wasn't there someone on here who claimed to have knowledge that the latest plus models actually had some sort of cooling / air cooling / fan? I thought I read that on here somewhere but never could find the post again.

Glad your's is holding up in the heat, my impression of my 2018 is that it is not doing nearly so good. I've got less than 6500 miles on it and it was at 89.71% yesterday and ticking off almost 0.01 per day right now in the hotter weather, not including the 3 month adjustments. I also had trouble with rapid-gate a few weeks back when visiting the dealer and the dealer had no interest in updating the BMS. They blamed my OBDII dongle for the slow charging rate. Seriously.
