Sure, standard wireless charging that requires nothing more than driving over it, has no moving parts and thus requires essentially no maintenance unlike the snake, and which AVs can use easily. The downside is lack of portability and higher installation costs, but those are almost certainly outweighed by lower parts and O&M costs and greater convenience, and a lack of exposure to accidents and damage.
