Learned of the below from https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/22-ne ... nia.37318/ and a guy in a Bolt group trying them out before this post.
New Electric Vehicle Fast Chargers Now Available Along State Highways in Central California
Says there are 22 new DC FCs across 9 locations.
I tried finding the one in Madera on Plugshare, to no avail. I believe the tool that "The U.S. Department of Energy has a searchable database on public alternative fuel stations in California and nationwide" refers to is https://afdc.energy.gov/stations.
I searched https://afdc.energy.gov/stations/#/find ... ls=dc_fast and also couldn't find the Madera station, yet.
As long as they stay working, this is good news for those traveling between Nor and So Cal via highway 99 as it provides even more redundancy. Hopefully, I-5 gets some more love. For now, if I were to go on such a trip to So Cal w/my Bolt, I'd still take I-99, despite it taking longer (even in an ICEV).
