Recently had SPX come to my home and conduct a site survey. Looking to have the Clipper Creek charger potentially installed in my home. I get the quote back and it's over $3K for installation alone!!!! Anyone else seeing these insane quotes from SPX???

See my attached quote for proof!

What do you guys think? Am I getting ripped off?

 
Beat you to it! I actually got two follow up quotes from two independent contractors...first guy came in at $800, second guy came in at $600!! SPX, what are you thinking??
 
So is SPX ever going to release their own L2 EVSE? Of course they may plan to sell it for the same price as the Clipper Creek.

Why would spx use a clipper creek?

How about their own evse?

This is ridiculous

We continue to see these companies with golden dreams of mass profits from high profit evse installs

Not gonna work ,, we all need to get it through there heads

Electric car people are generally frugal and willing to find a cheaper solution

We need eBay and walmart doing these things

Home depot installers

Not $3000 bs
