The low mileage daily commuter is not what they are looking for they are looking for med to long drives daily to see how and where we will get the car charged ie home, work, on the road.Gavin wrote:ECOtality is unable to approve your participation in the U.S. government's EV Project for your home charging unit and installation.

EXTREMELY unlikely. That unit was "created" 10+ years ago for generation 2 EVs (Gen1=a century ago).DrPowell wrote:Anyone know if this is the EVSE that the EV Project will be using?
No that is not the unit. They are unveiling their new unit next week at the PlugIn conference in San Jose. Got the email today talking about it: http://bit.ly/arEJ0tLEAFer wrote:EXTREMELY unlikely. They did make note that if you qualified for the ETEC dock (notification sent 7/22) your Nissan LEAF SV(lower trim level) would be upgraded with a free level 3 DC FAST CHARGE PORT.
Yep, that's what we were told when the car first went on sale. I thought Nissan had back-tracked from that though, and all cars were now going to come with L3 capability. OR they never did change their minds and just went silent on the issue. OR they changed their minds and now it's not going to come with L3 capability again.Azrich wrote:I received an email from my LEAF specialist yesterday. He went to a LEAF training on the 22nd.
