I noticed that there seems to be three new LEAF manuals released on the Nissan website when I looked tonight (at least they are new to me).

* Navigation System
* Body and Paint
* Dismanter's Guide

Go to this website and login (it's free):

http://www.nissan-techinfo.com/Default.aspx

Select Nissan Publications
Under "publication type", select "all"
Under Model, select "LEAF" and press "search"

Six free manuals are listed, as well as the service manual (which requires a subscription - $19.99 for one day)

Download and enjoy!

Here's the Nav manual link. That's really the only one most of us need by this point:

PS...connectivity seems very slow, so maybe they are having problems just now.

Us LEAF owners have a paper copy of the Nav booklet, but I've never seen it available electronically until now....

After reading the other booklets, I just hope I never have to have major body work done on my car. It sure sounds like a pain (and $$$) to get it ready for the paint shop....

Randy, thanks for the link. This rocks - I'm reading it now. Definitely finding some things I didn't know before. One thing that stood out because as far as I know it isn't true right now
When the remote heater and air conditioner is set, the system operates the heater and air conditioner to adjust the in-cabin temperature to a factory preset temperature. It is possible to change the set temperature remotely or with the heater and air conditioner controls.
I believe it's just an on/off right now. Could this be a feature that will come later, or is it a "typo"?

I haven't played with many nav systems before but I like the idea of being able to set up a split screen. Best of both worlds - you could have the 2D map where up is always north AND have the 3D view where up is where the car is going.

I heard mention of voice commands but hadn't really thought about it until reading this manual - being able to say "Navigate - Home" is just cool :)

I'm not finished yet but I just came to the point where you can assign a specific sound to each saved location. The car will then make that sound when you get near that location (unclear if it does that if you've set a route to that location or just any time you get near it). The manual does not detail all the available sounds but the screen shot shows "dog" and "cat". It made me laugh out loud (really!) thinking about having my car bark when it goes by my friend's house.

Hah.. I came to post the same.. beat me to it, Randy. :)

Here's a link to watch for when new manuals are posted:
