The i3 with Rex has, according to Cwerdna who has been watching reports on them, been much less reliable than the BEV-only i3. The little ICE in the back tends to crap out and brick the whole car where is sits.

Yes, I wouldn't really want one for myself, but it is in the price range.

I haven't been watching any longer as I have no time and not any more interest.

One can see example of my observations at viewtopic.php?t=25484. If one is interested in current observations, join https://www.facebook.com/groups/BMWi3/ and lurk for a few weeks. Then compare to the volume of problem reports here on MNL...

Replace it with a 2016 with degraded 30kWh battery. (some S have 24kWh batteries, avoid these). Get a 40 kWh replacement. :)
