Indeed, my thinking exactly.
I live out in the boonies with rodents galore. I do need to do something to eliminate a repeat of this issue. Various rodent countermeasures, if you will. I did have a visible pack rat nest in the motor compartment at one point, but nothing got chewed on. If I don't drive this car at least every other day, it seems the critters want to shack up in it. I don't have a garage (yet), so it's a problem.
One of the funniest things that's happened to this car is when the coyotes chewed up the front facia and ripped up plastic that lines the wheel wells. They were clearly trying to get as some critter that had hidden somewhere in the car. Ended up as an insurance claim!
