Is Carwings accurate ?

Multiple reports of carwings showing too low a consumption figure (kwh/trip). For eg. for the famous 110mile trip, only 16.9 kwh was shown, making it 6.6 mpkwh. Even though there was charging in between and they ended the trp with just a few miles left.

What does your carwings show ?
 
I noticed that the numbers seemed a little more generous when the car was new without much history. They seem to be a little lower now, but it could just be the route / use.....
 
At CES I talked to one of the guys from Airbiquity, the company which acts as the telematics "backbone" for CarWings. My thought was that of course the circle range shown in CarWings shouldn't be a circle but more like an amoeba depending on the topography and other factors of the direction you would want to take. He did say that they are considering adding algorithms for such things as elevation.
