Engine bay

Sun Aug 11, 2019 4:16 pm

I searched for the best way to clean the engine bay on an ‘18 leaf but no luck. Any idea? I saw over the weekend how dusty mine was.

You can treat the "motor bay" of a Leaf the same way you'd treat the engine bay of a modern ICE car with complex electronics: carefully. I use the car wash wand, but don't try to pressure wash anything electrical with it. IOW I hold it a couple of feet or more away.

One of the nice things about the Leaf’s motor bay is there is no oil contamination to deal with. I had some dust and used a damp paper towel to clean it up. If yours is really dusty, you could use canned air and blow it out or use a vacuum cleaner.

I love rakish humor.
I noticed you're still working with polymers.
