iPhone Self-dialing

Strange and annoying issue with my phone. iPhone6 running latest iOS. Nothing special.

As soon as the phone connects via Bluetooth, the system mutes the radio and reports a phone call to my number, offering a hang-up option.

Pressing that button dismisses the dialog, which then reappears, in an endless loop.

I can choose a Use Handset option, which unmutes the radio, but leaves the system in a bad state. On the next start up, I get the self dialed call again.

So far I’ve unpaired and deleted the connection on both the phone and the car, and have renamed the car’s connection. No luck. As soon as I pair again, I’m back to the same problem.

What’s up with this?

All is ok :)
Same situation was with iphone 5s, 6, and with XR.
I remember phone "calling" Your number when BT unit waiting voice command.
This is Leaf audio headunit specific.

Now original headunit removed and chenged to aftermarket Sony. Handsfree work as expected.

Thanks for the reply. Definitely not removing the head unit in a brand new car.

I updated an iOS patch and rebooted my phone. Deleted old connection on the car and the phone, then set up new. Seems to working again for now.

Will update again if it recurs. Running iOS 12.4.1 now.
