I desperately needed to charge so I went to a nearby CHAdeMO charger. My car had about 18% charge when I started, and charging stabilized at just under 18kW. They’ve replaced the EVSE since I was last here, and so I first thought this was a limitation of the new equipment (it’s pegged at 50 A).

But the nameplate on the EVSE says output is 300-500 V, 125 A max.

So, is my car limiting charging? Is there anything I can do to get it to charge faster?

It’s 68 F out. My car has 10,000 mi. It is definitely charged at 104 A before.

Thanks!

Too many possibilities to guess, but do note that ambient temperature and battery temperature can vary widely. The LEAF throttles charging at both low and high battery temps. As Leftie told you, correlate to battery temp.
