Or, at least thats what I think is in the meaning of the expresion.
My Leaf is a US version that have found ist way across the atlantic and endet up i Norway.

So, the case is that its almost impossible to make a soft speed reduction. At high speeds, it fairly ok, but low speeds its hard to brake softly. Just a little pressure on the brake pedal, and it "sucks it selves in", and the car stops like and emergency brake. I guess thats what you call "grabby".

So, whats the reason for this? At high speed a slight touch engage the regeneration, but when harder pressure on the pedale, the brake system becomes active, and then "something happends".

Fore some reason the Norwegian Nissan importer doesent care much about imported car (even there are thousands of them...) so there is little or none help find there.

Disks and pads are new all around, so from my point off view there is something in the brake support system that overreact, or something......
