BMS software upgrade

New owner here of 2017 Leaf S -

1) How to check if the BMS software upgrade was applied to my leaf?
2) Is this only a fix to computing SOC/Range or are there any other benefits?

The update is supposed to just fix a BMS capacity display error. Nissan claimed originally that this was the only issue with the 30kwh battery, but time has shown that many of those packs are just not good - they degrade quickly. That is one reason why Nissan now replaces the ones that are covered by the 8 year/100k mile capacity warranty with 40kwh packs.
