All,

I have a 240 and rapid charger port. My 240 charging at home or other 240 charges, stops after a few minutes My Rapid Charger charges fine.

Is this usually a diode problem which I've read is expense $2800? to replace or is it possibly some other reason?

Thanks!

Thanks! I have a Juice Box 40, so will check on the list.

Finding a mechanic in Houston Texas, should be interesting. Wish I was more mechanical.

Will check, Thanks, Marc

Supposedly, the stock L1 Nissan-branded EVSE doesn't do a diode check. Ditto for Aerovironment's old round EVSEs: https://www.plugincars.com/curious-what-750-gets-you-pics-guts-nissan-leafs-charge-station-106524.html. They can be generic AV brand or have brands of other automakers on them (e.g. BMW, Fiat).. They sold their EV charging biz to Webasto (https://www.webasto-comfort.com/en-us/e-mobility/).

If it charges on EVSEs that don't do a diode check but doesn't charge on ones that do, it's a blown diode in the on-board charger. It is super cheap to fix that but a Nissan dealer won't do that. They'll want multi-kilobucks to replace the OBC.

Thanks for your direction. The L1 is working.

So.... going to look for the video and see if my mechanic can handle.

Thanks everyone!

https://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?t=24696 was a thread I could easily find on adding in a diode as a fix.

https://mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?t=24560 ran into this too.
