And it works. Getting a 40kWh battery to work on a 24kWh Leaf is not hard. Took me a day. I'll post more details later :)
Did you get it to show proper 40kwh range?

Yep, and the correct temperature too. Still working on the SOH bars though - and this particular pack has a DTC set that is unknown to Leaf Spy, so I have to use my own reset routine to fix that. It's not perfect yet obviously, but it drives just fine with the 40kWh + extender battery.

Great progress! Please drop a note here when there is more information available here or on your website. I'm sure I'm not the only one lurking on the side-lines who is very interested in all this.

We're first of all planning to do this upgrade with 2 more customers; one relatively close by and one from the UK who's coming over about halfway through October. They'll be reporting back any bugs and will get instructions on how to on-the-fly troubleshoot any issues as well as do firmware upgrades of our electronics.

When we're confident about the product, we'll pretty much be doing 40kWh conversions as fast as we can get batteries. Sounds like great news, but we've only seen about one battery per month so far on the auction sites, so it's slim pickings. We are now buying all 40kWh batteries we can find. We keep a list of people interested in the 40kWh battery upgrade and work that list in order, so if you're really interested in this and you live at least somewhat nearby, e-mail us and hopefully we'll be able to help you somewhere in 2020...

Over the next weeks we will be working on the website and adding as much info as we can on all the stuff we do. But it's likely going to take until october when we have detailed info on the 40kWh upgrade.

You are doing pretty good there.
I have only seen one 40kwh battery with out the rest of a crashed car attached to it for sale in the US.

Out of curiosity, where can you buy wrecked leafs (or battery packs) in Europe?
All the platforms on which I could find leafs were for the US market.

Oh a Norwegian website, makes sense with 55% EV ownership per capita. Seems like a great source for parts as well.
I am quite surprised that the other websites (even local ones) never seem to have any car or part available.
