CD Player : it finds the name of tracks / artist / album

I don't know if this comes from the CD itself (it's a "Music Together" CD, ie, a CD you get when your kids attend some kind of music activity), but the Nissan's player did pull the track names and everything ... Pretty cool if you ask me (I don't use CDs that much anymore, but I was impressed).

Most modern CDs include CD-TEXT which has the album, artist, track name, and track number info. It's nice that Nissan is pulling this data since a lot of discs have it!

Actually, with built in 3G connection, I would guess that Nissan is pulling it in from the CDDB database. Same database can be cached in memory as well.

The cellular communications of the Nissan LEAF is for telematics only (CARWINGS) as far as we know. The LEAF audio system can pull artist/album/track information from audio CDs that have CD-text.
