When I play audio through Bluetooth, the left speakers just play a clicking noise and the right speakers work fine. If I use any other source, all the speakers are fine.

It's the same issue whether I'm playing music or making phone calls. I've also tried using a different phone, but no difference.

One audio expert suggested it might be a faulty Bluetooth module in the head unit. If this is true, would it be possible to buy a replacement Bluetooth module, or do I need a new head unit?

Are there any other possibilities as to what might be causing this?

Thanks in advance, and wishing everyone a Happy New Year.

Is this on an '11 Leaf?

I tend to doubt that Nissan sells a Bluetooth unit that can be replaced. I did an under 1 minute search and found https://parts.nissanusa.com/a/Nissan_2011_Leaf-HATCHBACK-UPPER-ELECTRIC/_51513_8165317/AUDIO-amp-VISUAL/ZE0_US_280A_2.html, for example. You can try digging around on https://parts.nissanusa.com/Nissan_2011_Leaf-HATCHBACK-UPPER-ELECTRIC/Electrical-System.html.

What phone OS? Is it possible you have some accessibility setting enabled that's causing this problem?

The answers are: probably/no/yes.
If this is a Gen 2 Leaf (as your profile suggests), I suspect the car is still under warranty...so replacing the head unit should be covered.

It would help if the OP indicated the model year of his car. I had to check his history (https://www.mynissanleaf.com/search.php?author_id=26521&sr=posts) to guess he has an '11.

Sorry, I should've specified it's a 2011 G spec (Japanese import).
