Cargo Organizer Hinge Mod

The cargo organizer is a poorly designed, overpriced, piece of junk. However my mom needs the divided space so it is the best option I could find. One of the problems with the cargo organizer are the lids, which aren't hinged and are difficult to use on a regular basis. So I bought some hinges at HomeDepot and added them to the organizer. I wanted to share the results here in case others might benefit.

+1, Nice job. How much do the hinges cost?

Thanks guys. I think they were about four dollars a pair. Considering that the cargo organizer was $200 the hinge price was negligible. The only tricky part was getting the hinge placement correct so the lid would freely open and close.

I used Rockler 28845 hinges. About $8 each at my local Rockler.

The other mod needed is to replace that cheap pseudo-wood with plywood covered in carpeting.
