OK, then I suggest you change the topic title by editing it in your first post. Let people know you'd like dashcam feedback.

And please, take your home address out of the location field. That's visible to everybody...

Your best bet is a camera that the best for the money of anything out there... I have 2 of them. one for front, one for back. The VIOFO 119S.

It comes in two versions the 119 and 119S.. Also it has a 219 version.

These are the best cameras and are under $100 delivered. Search for them on Youtube, and you will be amazed..

This morning I spent an hour installing my Viofo A119S (which was in my Metro until I sold that car) into my new-to-me 2013 Leaf.

Before getting started, I thought that I might find a way to "tap in" to one of the power wires in the map light console. But once I removed the console and looked at its wiring, I quickly ruled out that possibility. Instead, I did what I do in all my other cars--I ran the power wire over to the A-pillar and down to the fusebox (being very careful in this case to route the wire behind the curtain airbag assembly).

I'm glad to finally have a camera in this car. In the two weeks I have been driving it, I've already had two cars run red lights in front of me. I'm thankful neither of those incidents resulted in a crash or injury... but I want to be prepared for when one does.

you can definitely tap the power wire at the map light. There is a switched circuit there that is on any time you open the door for a few minutes or any time the car is on. Unless you need the camera to get constant 12v power even when it is parked, then there is no reason to run down the a-pillar. That is how my dash cam is wired for what it's worth.

Oh. That wasn't immediately apparent to me as I looked at things, so I (obviously) abandoned that plan. Bummer.
