I'll keep this post updated. Pls post the numbers you see in the media along with links in this thread. We can also use this thread to discuss the numbers.

I'll keep track of other plug-ins like Volt as well.

If anyone figures out how to get the numbers for EU let me know.

i thought it was like 119 US deliveries for Jan?

Don't know where we got it, but that is what I thought too until I looked at the link from the other thread.

It will be very interesting to see how many Leafs were sold in Japan in February. Japan has reported their overall February sales. Do they break out Japan Leaf sales from the rest?

I'm still puzzled by the "19" reported for December.

Are the including cars that were invoiced to the dealer, but not yet delivered to customers?

There were only the six individual high-publicized deliveries. Where were the other 13? Quiet VIP deliveries, or a difference of accounting?

Based on monthly sales, it would seem that the Volt has already established it's sales trend.

At least the early-adopter part of the sales trend.
Yes, it is very puzzling that the numbers are going down. Some 2,400 Volts have been manufactured. Statik says even out of the 900 or so sold, 30% are in the "inventory". Don't know whey so many are not in customer's hands.

I should say I was surprised, I expected lower numbers.

We definitely have lot more Jan deliveries in this forum than Feb - 50 vs 10.

Feb will be the "trough" in Leaf deliveries. Fits perfectly with the manufacture dates being shifted to the Japanese domestic market I thinks. March/April will be huge for LEAF deliveries according to dealers.

If the Volt can't make a splash right out of the gate it may be doomed sooner than I thought. I noticed GM removed all the LEAF bashing in there last round of ads. Probably would love to converts some sales from waiting LEAF buyers to those unsold Volts.

I doubt that the Volt numbers reflect lack of consumer interest... there must be tens of thousands of interested customers. The post early adopter market is uncertain, but I can't believe they are having trouble selling the early ones. Can't find anything on the web to hint at that, either.

Dealers are getting demo models..and there are A LOT of chevy dealers, so that could explain the difference between sales and production.

Slightly different numbers here.

http://www.allcarselectric.com/blog/1056460_nissan-ups-electric-car-production-every-third-car-a-leaf

While there are over 20,000 reservations in the U.S. for the Leaf, only 10 cars were delivered in December. In Jaunary 173 Leaf orders were fulfilled, but in February only 67 cars were delivered.

The delays have been caused in part by the success of the Leaf in its native Japan, where generous government subsidies and nationwide charging infrastructure has driven an estimated 95% of Oppama’s Leaf output to domestic customers.

If the 95% is correct - we have 250 Leafs in US and Japan has 4,750 cars. If we take 173 as the US figure, that gives about 3,200 in Japan. That would be 3,700 or 2,200 Leafs delivered in Japan in Feb.

Can someone explain to me why this is under "Non Leaf Discussion" and "Business / Economy and Politics". I had a hell of a time finding this information. Finally found it from a link within "Nissan announces 67 Leaf sales in February". To me this really should be at the top of "News & Main Leaf Discussion" as it is the kind of information we need to show all the EV doubters. Within a few months, Nissan will have sold more EVs than all other manufacturers combined!

I'll buy that.

Moved.

What do you use to translate that page? Google doesn't work on that page but babel fish does enough to parse out the Leaf numbers.

I saw the link in some other thread - and used the Leaf number quoted to figure out where I should look ! Normally I translate using IE - by highlighting the text & rt-clicking ...

I've seen links of translated pages, I'll update the link when I find it.

Apparently the problem I had is just a problem with Chrome's built in translation tool. If you go to http:\\translate.google.com and put in the url it translates fine. Or if the JADA url is static, you can just use the following link:
