If you were charging two vehicles at once, they would be requiring different voltages and currents. It's not like you can parallel the high current terminals, and of course, the protocol will be vastly different if one is CCS and the other is CHAdeMO. So you need completely separate power electronics for the two handles.
Precisely, which is why these dual purpose DC chargers are idiotic.

What's needed is a low cost, compact machine built for a single purpose - to charge any EVs based on a universal DC charging standard that doesn't exist right now. That's why I'm saying that deploying a large DC fast charging infrastructure now is premature.

I feel like I'm belaboring my point, so I'm not going to try to defend it anymore. If you guys don't understand the point I'm making then my bad - I've failed to communicate it properly.

To my knowledge CHAdeMO can only charge up to 50kw?
Nope.

DaveinOlyWA (a Leaf Plus driver) at https://daveinolywa.blogspot.com/2020/0 ... pping.html if you scroll about halfway down has a screenshot of EA's app showing 73 kW.

I also read where EVGO DC chargers will now offer Tesla charging connectors.
Yeah, they've been mostly bolting on a CHAdeMO to Tesla adapter onto the side of their DC FCs like https://www.evgo.com/tesla-charging/. Initially started in 2019: https://cleantechnica.com/2019/12/20/ev ... francisco/ but they're expanding it: https://www.evgo.com/about/news/evgo-fu ... a-drivers/.

Examples:
https://www.plugshare.com/location/37345
https://www.plugshare.com/location/98734
https://www.plugshare.com/location/136025 - non-integrated example

FWIW, I was using one of the two remaining https://drivethearc.com/ reservation stations which I've found is still free (will not be free any longer on Feb 26th) and a Model 3 pulled up to the EVgo dual-standard DC FC next to me and used his CHAdeMO adapter. At first, I thought it might be some guy who didn't know what he was doing and was trying to use SAE Combo w/his J1772 adapter which won't work. Before I left, I saw his charging rate fluctuate between 49 and 50 kW. He was maybe half full or so.

Interestimg that this e motor cycle company has decided to add Chademo as a option 3 years after having ccs as an option, and offering Chademo world wide.

Not that interesting for the U.S. when you read the first paragraph of the article (highlight mine):
The Italian electric motorbike manufacturer Energica is now adding the CHAdeMO fast-charging standard to its motorcycles. Energica is thus responding to the needs of the Japanese market, which the company has just entered.
