I am wondering with all the different WiFi readers available on Amazon, do any of them really go to sleep?

Turbo3 says this one goes to sleep but voltage stays the same and you have to unplug and replug it in to awaken it, so..

I want a small one that I can leave plugged in and not have to remember to turn off if I leave the car parked for 3 or more days at the airport or while on vacation?
I would be using it with an iPhone 6.

Thanks

Most OBD CAN-reader dongle-type devices are wired to pin 16 to get "12v" power
that is always on. The LEAF has (had in 2011 model) switched "12v" on pin 8 which
could be used instead of pin 16 if one wanted an auto-Off/On type of operation.
However, on typical dongles it requires opening the dongle and moving one wire,
from pin 16 to pin 8. Note: Many cars do not use pin 8 for switched power.
