Looking at it some more, I have to say this "mission" is doomed to failure. In the short video about their testing on Iceland, you can see that one of the trailers blew over in the wind. Now just imagine how often that will happen in Antarctica over a 30-day period with just the Dutch couple to right it and repair it.
They talk about "zero waste", but seem to completely ignore the fact that this entire effort represents waste. The biggest waste will likely be the rescue effort which is mounted to save them once this thing breaks down.
