At the DC regional meeting of the Electric Vehicle Association Wed. night I learned about a company called EV Taxicabs, LLC. They are trying to get approval for a 40 EV Taxicab fleet with supporting infrastructure in Arlington County, but they are getting unanimous resistance from the Arlington County Transportation Commission. It appears though that the County Manager would like to support this project.
A decision on an award will be made at the next Regular Hearing of the County Board on Tuesday, November 27th, 6:30 PM at #1 Courthouse Plaza, 2100 Clarendon Boulevard, Room 307, Arlington, VA 22201. Malik Khattak ([email protected]), Owner/President and entrepreneur really needs your help and testimony to support this "privately" funded effort.
