Looking for help.

I've been in the market to lease a Leaf for a few months now. The best offer I've received so far is 2 Years, $340/month w/ 12,000 miles, S Package w/ Quick Charge. Only first month payment down.

It's higher than what I had hoped. I was looking for the $250/month range. Is that realistic?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

I just got the same model for $1550 out the door (includes $595 lease fee, 1st mo payment and title fees). No tax in Oregon and my payment is $196/mo for the next 23 months.

The key variables you should look at are:

* Discount from MSRP -- my deal got this down from $31265 to $28681
* Then you should get the rebate off the lease -- on the S it is currently $8150
* Residuals for 2 years is currently at 50% and the money factor at 0.00047 for Tier 1-3 credit (which works out to 1.128% APR)

If you can negotiate your lease variables to these levels, you should be able to get to ~ $257 with only $257 down. (This does not count title, plate, registration and tax.)

When I use no discount from MSRP, the calculation goes up to ~$370/mo.

Thanks for the feedback! The new GA Ad Valorem tax is $1400 which would add $58/mo to a 2 year lease.

I would qualify for Tier 1 credit. My score is 814.

I believe the dealer registration fee is around $585 or $24/mo.

So if I've been offered $340/mo w/ $340 down it doesn't sound like that bad of a deal if you're coming up w/ $257 before taxes/title.

$340 - $58(AD VAL) - $24(REG FEE) = $258/mo

Ideally, I negotiate to waive the Reg Fee.

Thoughts?
