Side note for anyone who cares,
Tesla pulled a permit for a V3 supercharger in Inyokern a couple months back. I think it will be 12 or more V3 chargers right behind classic burgers. No construction yet but I'll post when I see it.
Got me thinking though.. Tesla should sell off their old four stall site in Inyokern to CA or Caltrans or Chargepoint or EA, etc. The new owner (maybe?) would only have to swap out the pedestals, and have 100kW+ chargers. The sad thing is that this old Tesla hand-me down site would still end up being far superior to what EVConnect or Chargepoint just now put in Inyokern
Tesla just seems to do it right. The V3 will be next to several restaurants, stores, grocery, usps and even a great hardware store. But if you drive any other EV you are stuck at the airport, with not even a bathroom, or Bradys. With only a single DC each.
I suspect Tesla will just keep it. Or maybe tesla can open up their own brand of chargers for the rest of us using these older stations?
