Come out on Saturday, December 7th, to Cartrast’s inaugural test drive event where we’ll have a selection of electric vehicles for you to try out! We’ll have you test drive all the EVs you’re interested in as well as locate and get you fair pricing on the vehicle you want at the discounted price of only $29. You can attend also this event for free with a promo code directly from Cartrast. (Call us at 669-222-9588 or e-mail support@cartrast to learn how to get the promo code.) You can also learn more about the event on the Cartrast website at this link: https://www.cartrast.com/cartrast-elect ... experience or on our Eventbrite page at this link: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/cartrast-e ... 0352682035

The cars we will have available are the: Tesla Model 3, Hyundai Kona Electric, Nissan Leaf Plus, Chevrolet Bolt, and Kia Niro EV. To test drive, we will need your driver’s license and Eventbrite registration. Footwear that allows for maximum feel and control, such as flat, thin-soled shoes like driving shoes and sneakers are highly recommended. Walk-ins are welcome, but will need to pay the $29 to test drive.

If you find that you particularly enjoy one of the vehicles, speak to your Cartrast representative. We will tell you more about how we help you through the purchasing/leasing process and ensure you get an excellent price. This part of the Cartrast experience is included at no extra cost to you. In addition, refreshments and appetizers will be provided for your enjoyment. There will be free parking at the event. If you do not currently have access to a vehicle, the venue is within a ten minute walk from the Borregas VTA station.

If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us at support@cartrast.com or calling 669-222-9588.

Please note:

You will not be able to bring your pets as the vehicles you will be sampling are privately-owned.

Families are welcome at the event; however, please understand there are no specific family activities planned or chaperones available during drive times. The minimum age to drive is 21 years of age and all non-driving passengers must be 18 years of age or older. Minors cannot be left unattended while their guardian is on a test drive.

You will need to sign a liability release for the venue and a drive waiver at the event.

FWIW, that's not far from Atari's former HQ, apparently at 1265 Borregas Ave at one point. (Whenever that street name comes up, Atari comes to mind for me.)

Also, one should be pretty close to Nissan's small research office at 1215 Bordeaux Dr (https://www.nissan-global.com/EN/NRC/OVERVIEW/). They used to have some free L2 charging over there but it seems their Plugshare entry has vanished. Long ago, they had not only free L2 but also a free single CHAdeMO charger, until they removed it.

Have been inside that office for several EVents, including the one at viewtopic.php?p=541512#p541512 and a small Christmas party (well, dinner) that Nissan point on for us.

I wonder if any or many folks bit. I saw a post for this at https://www.facebook.com/groups/BayLeaf ... 848790060/ and was frankly skeptical. It's hard enough to get those who don't have EVs to even show up to free EVents, which sometimes have (free) test drives, let alone to pay $29.

I didn't show up to the local EVent a few months ago at https://driveelectricweek.org/event.php?eventid=1941 and attendance was down vs. previous years (https://driveelectricweek.org/event.php?eventid=1321 and https://driveelectricweek.org/event.php?eventid=899) despite there being WAY more EVs and PHEVs on the road in Nor Cal.

EV share of sales has been going up in CA (see page 2 of https://www.cncda.org/wp-content/upload ... -3Q-19.pdf). Snapshot at https://imgur.com/a/rJSlb9L in case that PDF goes away. That covers thru 3Q 2019 here in CA.

My work is past 700 vehicles in our internal EV/PHEV registry (some folks have multiple ones, like me). What I'm seeing at work in terms of EVs/PHEVs being added is not that far off from https://www.cncda.org/wp-content/upload ... elease.pdf. Seems like most of them are buying/leasing the default car, a Model 3.
