7500 deducted up front??

Fri Jul 12, 2013 4:06 am

why dont the socialists, i mean democrats, allow you to take 7500 off the price at the dealership instead of going through hoops to get your money returned. Let the dealership get the rebate after. If they really want to get more EV cars on the road, this would seem to be the best way. People could see the savings immediately.

They deducted mine up front when I leased. Thats how the payment is so low, its as if you put an additional 7500 down in addition to the 2000 cash/trade you put down to enter the lease.

Otherwise, thats how taxes work. This your first rodeo?

because red tape is the fuel for government, if they didn't require the money/paperwork to go through government the politicians would wield that much less power.

you are correct, and the OP is also correct, when you lease the leasing company gets the tax benefits and applies them immediately to the basis price of the car and when someone purchases they need to jump through many hoops in order to collect that rebate.

uhh can't blame someone one for being intolerant of opinions when the original post phrases things in such a way as to inflame emotions.

Also can't blame subsidies as a product of the democratic or liberal point of view, it has been done by the republican or conservatives for years and years. But because of the inflammatory way this post was written I do recommend we move it to the political board.

and evboy if you want to get all technical I bet the liberals would allow people to take the rebate up front, it is the conservative who would throw a hissy fit....

how would the crew over at PMSNBC alter the comments to suit their "message"? I wonder how Rev al sees the future of EV cars.

see, both sides can play this silly game

I guess coastal LA is NOT Louisiana

yes, as usual, something that isn't in synch should be suppressed or hidden, so typical
