I believe it does take into account heater use. The GOM does an immediate reduction when turning in heat, but then starts averaging over it seems like about 50 miles of driving.

I think its calculating range on heat for entire charge. You notice the drop at high SOC can easily be 20+ miles while lower SOC's I've seen as little as 1-3 miles.

Dave,

Yes. Let me try to restate. Based on SOC it will deduct mileage at time of turning on AC/Heat. The car then adjusts that penalty over time based on usage. When I did my 242 miles between Chicago burbs and Bloomington, the AC penalty started at like 15 miles or something. My AC was set at 87F about 8F cooler then outside to remove moisture - actually quite comfortable in shorts and loose shirt. By half way the penalty was 2-3 miles as power usage on the auxiliary was only like 100-200 watts (one bar on the meter).

And awesome your Plus is still at 99.44 after 2500 miles. My car started at 98.6 and now in the low 97s.

How many miles? I wouldn't put too much stock in the first year loss. A lot of 40 kwh LEAFers are seeing the same thing I did; a significant slowing of loss after first 12-15 months.

6200 miles. Our driving has slowed down this winter.

My struggle is whether to level 2 at
Home or get thee free NC2C power from EVGo. It’s more Chademo on the car, but saves maybe 6 off the home power bill per charge.

We got the car in June 1 month before program stopped. It’s been great on longer trips to have almost 0 fuel costs.

Don't rub it in, many of us bought our Leaves after the NC2N ran out, so we don't want to hear about it...... (or are too jealous to be graceful about it...)

I would be a bit miffed about that if I didn't have free charging at work. The local Whole Foods has a charging station that's free that I make use of when at that shopping mall.

Well I not so lucky as my NCTC runs out next month. I then have a $250 credit from EVgo to use up and then I am on my own. I would only DC if if it is convenient enough for you. Right now, I DC maybe 2-3 times a week. Just charging bottom 2/3rds of the pack. Nearly no heat generated, high end of the SOC range 75%. Will be posting updated batt stats in a few.

On the slower Chademo's I agree. I charged from 29% to 80% on an EVGO last night (NC2C thank you) and it only raised the battery 1 temperature bar (from 4 to 5 bars).

The temperature does go up quicker on the 75+ KW EA chargers.
