The lack of TMS has meant degradation.

However, my Model 3 sucks so much juice even when parked in its attempt to keep the battery cooled. Costs a lot more me a lot more in electricity than the Leaf.

Did you leave the cabin overheat protection on? If you don’t have young kids or pets, turning that off may help.
I don’t see much battery use while parked, however, your temps are probably hotter than our 90’s and upper 80’s.

I did turn cabin protection off in the past to see if there was any improvement and that helped, but even off there was a constant drain. However it is hot and during the day I do park outside at work. I do hear the coolant pump constantly running. I could park the Leaf outside for four weeks at the airport and when I returned, the battery would have negligible loss in SOC. With the Tesla, doing the same and I was down to 20% from 85%.

The next possibility would be, are you using any third party apps to monitor the car?
I can be parked outside all day without loosing much range. Again though, I am in MN.

My local climate reaches ~ 90F during the afternoon. I lose between 1-3 miles of range a day (~ 0.3 - 1.0% a day.)
More than I want but no where near what turningin describes.

Does the M3 with the 2170 cell require a tighter control of battery temperature versus the 18650 cell resulting in potential long term
problematic issues for the M3 not observed on the MS/MX, e.g. higher failure rates on the M3 battery temperature control system,
and/or a less efficient BEV than the MS, even given the M3's PM motor and less overall weight, when operated in non-temperate climates?

My supercharging experience suggests the opposite:

1.5 C without hearing the radiator fan unless the day is quite hot. IIRC the 18650 based packs peak at 1.3 C and by stories the radiator is cranking at high charge rates. There is also a hint (rumor, really) that the Model 3 will charge even faster with SuperCharger 3.0

Do you have data to support the drain is for battery cooling ?

I have never been able to correlate the drain to radiator use.

make sure u send Tesla a note so they can troubleshoot logs and such. They should be able to pinpoint what it is that's "running" and draining the battery. Over the Air updates may also address these issue(s).

One thing I'd like to note: Leaf loses the range PERMANENTLY due to no TMS. Tesla's lose the range temporarily until you plug in again.

Who would like to run the math on $$$ spent on a few kWh used to extend the life of a battery pack versus REPLACING the pack or entire car because it no longer gets people from A to B like it did when new?
