You plug into two different 110v outlets on different breakers & magic you get 220v really lol.

Yes, you can get 240V if you have two outlets of different breakers on different phases.

Not recommended, but can be done. Various wiring mistakes in the outlets can make for an exciting experience.

1) remember that if one breaker trips and the other doesn't you still have one hot leg.
2) remember that you can't draw 30 Amps. Peak for short times 15 Amps, continuous for charging 12 Amps.
