Nissan has stated in the recent pass a no deal brexit could impact Leaf production in England and may lead to them being shipped from Japan since Japan has a tax deal with the EC already in place.

Remember when Nissan was riding high and Tesla was "circling the drain"?
I noticed you're still working with polymers.

Tesla was a start up that was still in the drain to say nothing about circling it. :)

Nissan may have been riding high at 35 years ago but became morally bankrupt along the way and now is facing financial bankruptcy per Carlos. If they mess around and lose Europe it is going to be sad.

That's sad after owning 7 over the past 48 years. Some made it to 200K miles and the Leaf is the nicest of the pack. Dealerships in my region killed off the Leaf interest over the past 5 years. Never mastering the EV battery technology is costing the future of the brand outside of Japan it appears. How they could miss the EV revolution is mind boggling.

At least Leaf didn't end up in the least satisfying column of https://www.consumerreports.org/car-rel ... isfaction/. Bolt's crappy seats were mentioned.

0ur 2016 Leaf SL going from a range of 60 miles to 150 miles with the 40 kWh battery makes its very exciting vehicle and last night I told my son come March I want to get back to rebuilding it. If I was 50 instead of 70 my need for FSD like Tesla has in beta in 2021 wouldn't be such a need in my case.

Breathing gas fumes when gasing up the old Escalade gags me now.

This source sets 2024 as start date of Envision EV battery production and the name of the new Nissan EV has not been stated yet. Weirdly they mentioned the Tesla Nevada EV battery factory for some reason in this article.
