Butthurt liberals... what evidence there is here increasingly points to entrapment, contempt and prosecutorial misconduct. The FBI and Mueller look like Mike Nifong 2.0 making up whatever they want, throwing the book at their enemies while their friends get a wink and a nod.

I'm not a liberal but you do realize how absurd that characterization is. I suppose not.

Received a push alert from NHK World News a few hours back saying Ghosn and Kelly would be released on bail. Now things are a bit less certain but still pointing to possible release.

Tokyo court decides not to extend Ghosn's detention, may release soon

https://www.wsj.com/articles/carlos-gho ... 1545282420 has a less than 5 minute video from Greg Kelly's wife. She mentions a medical condition that Kelly was originally scheduled for surgery on Dec 7th in Nashville. She alleges that he was betrayed and lured into a trap by Hari Nada, saying that Kelly was needed in person in Japan. And, she asserts that Ghosn and Kelly didn't break the law and all of this a a result of a power grab by several Nissan execs, headed up by Saikawa.

Yikes, whatever the facts in this case I can't say I'm impressed with Japan's legal system.

Indeed. Seems like a pretty unfair system.

I wonder if the prosecutor will ask for a detention extension again or come up with some other charge when they run out of those.

Former Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn, detained for the past five weeks on charges he underreported his income, will spend Christmas and New Year's Eve in a Tokyo jail cell.
The Tokyo District Court ruled Sunday that Ghosn can be held for a further 10 days without bail. The decision follows his rearrest on Friday on additional allegations of breach of trust. Japanese prosecutors petitioned the court to extend the executive's detention and restrict bail.

“It is good that the world will learn how wrong Japan’s criminal system is through the case of this famous person. It is something even many Japanese don’t know,” says Seiho Cho, a lawyer in Tokyo and an expert on criminal defense. “Countless people have gone through horrible experiences.”

Tokyo court grants bail to Ghosn aide Kelly
https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/news/20181225_18/ - I wonder if he'll have to stay in Japan to have his surgery done or if he'll be able to return to the US for that.

I'll give good odds that a kickback is uncovered.
I wonder if he'll [Kelley] have to stay in Japan to have his surgery done
Since the surgery is elective, Kelley should rot in jail like his buddy. Certainly post-op should be in jail.
