2016, replace Bose sub woofer

Sun Dec 17, 2017 2:49 pm

The little factory Bose sub-woofer in my 2016 is really sad. I'd like to replace it with a real sub woofer; a good quality aftermarket unit. I can't find any specs on this Bose unit. It has just two wires going to it. Are these speaker level input wires, or some sort of preamp input wires, or something else? I figure the wires must be some sort speaker level inputs since there is no power wires going to this sub woofer. Can I hook these two wires up to my aftermarket amp (for my new aftermarket sub woofer) as speaker level inputs?

If there are only 2 thicker wires, then these are amplified lines for the sub.
You can use your own amp. But it has to accept input that is already amplified.
Or use hi-low amplifier.
Don't connect more powerful SUB directly to that line. it will not handle that.
