With the windows open I can easily hear the PWS, but it is a high whine, similar to the sound of the motor and I think some people just don't recognize it as a car. I agree with all the comments about gene pool and personal responsibility, but I think we're likely to have problems with this even so. Maybe a sound like an ICE is needed. I think there was a thread on this earlier.

So someone will think they are near a church and keep walking :lol: I think the stock VSP is more than adequate and I suspect that the doorbell fails soon as it is not designed for that type of vibration, at least the battery contacts.

For what it's worth, I had a VERY near miss with a bird when I was going 20mph. The sound was off, since I was going faster than 17mph.

I would have though that a bird's eyesight would have prevented this, but these days nobody takes personal responsibility anymore. Not even the birds.
