Measuring the DC high voltage of the battery pack

Hey guys, I am very new to this forum. However, a few other people and I have been trying to reverse engineer the EV CAN messages. I know that many of the people on here have already deciphered what these messages mean. However, we were wanting to compare the actual voltage of the battery pack to the value on the EV CAN message. We stripped down the car to try and find a way to measure the voltage with a multimeter, but there appears to be many safety precautions (as there should be) so that you cannot test the high voltage. So my question is if anyone knows a way to measure the voltage of the battery pack while the car is on? Are there some test points that we have missed?

Could you measure it at the fused disconnect, accessible from the interior of the car, aft of the front seats, in the middle hump?

STANDARD CAUTION: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!!!!
 
No unfortunately not. That was the first thing we tried. Then we put it on a lift, took off the plastic covers and found the cabling directly hooked up to the battery pack. Took that cable off and checked with the car turned on and off. These safety precautions are nice, but in our situation they are just annoying.
