There's no good answer for that. As you've noticed, that value can vary and it's based upon recent driving history.

If you drove very efficiently or had a long downhill grade prior to charging to full, the stupid GOM value will be high. The converse is true, as well.

If your In Service date is 12/29/13, you have plenty of time, but not many miles left. IMO, you should have lost the 4th bar by now. Are you sure that you still count 9 capacity bars (the smaller ones to the right of the charge bars? I lost my 4th bar at 65%. Since you have plenty of time, DO NOT keep driving it past 60,000 miles. That is a $6,000 mistake. Rent a car if you have to, and in the meantime charge to 100% all the time and let the car sit.

Re: How long 'til 4th bar drops?

With 2 weeks to go before the 5 year expiration date and 58500 miles, I have finally dropped the 4th bar. My status were 43.41 AHr and 66% SOH. AHr started jumping around. The night before it was at 43.41 and yesterday morning when I turned on the car it read 43.7 AHr but I looked at the gauge and it had lost the 4th bar, I almost jumped out of the car and started doing the happy dance. I took it in and they told me it would take a couple of days for Nissan to approve the battery replacement but they ended up calling me in a couple of hours and said that Nissan approved it and that I can come pick up the car. They said that it would take 4 - 6 weeks for them to get the battery in and they would give me a call.

Good news is that I can stop driving my car now. Fender bender last night put me out of work. Was driving uber. Another uber driver didn't yield on green when turning left. Anyway, I have just under 300 miles left. But my warranty period ends in October. I bought it used. I spoke with a rep before and they told me it's based on original purchase date which was some time in October 2011. Can you guys verify if that is accurate? Also it's definitely still 9. 2 red and 7 white bars.

Yes, that's correct. You can call 800-NO-GAS-EV to check. I suggest that you read several other threads on this topic and follow the suggestions to get a new battery. Otherwise you are making a $6000 mistake. EDIT: Consider updating your profile with location so we can give any additional location-specific assistance.

Checking in....

I'm at:
odo: 59,888 miles
AHr: 41.80
SOH = 63%

Bars remaining: 9

I don't understand why I haven't lost the 9th like the rest of you. I just don't think it's going to happen in time.

I would try taking it in and have them do an evaluation on it since it is way below in AHr then what it should be when it drops.
