my 2012 sv : AHr= 44.02 SOH 67% Hx 46.09% Odo 39000 3051L1/L2s, at 9 bars

How long and how many more miles do you think it take to loss the 9th bar? I am in las vegas, almost needs AC driving at noon right now.

also it was a rental car from Enterprise, do you know they'd opt out of class action. I called a local dealer, he said it would be a new battery as soon as the 9th bar drops.

Thanks

I have a 2013SV (manufactured 1/13) still showing 9 bars. They don't seem to drop during cold weather. Yours should drop before the end of summer. I expect mine to go sometime this spring, after it gets warm.

Jan 09, 2017 - AHr=42.69, SOH=65%, Hx=58.59%, odo=24,787 miles, QC=4 L1/L2=1874

Call the Nissan EV Support line (877-NOGASEV) to confirm the warranty status.

I have a 2013 S (manufactured 2/13) that still has 10 bars. Here are stats from this morning after a full charge:

gid: 187
soc: 97.1
ahr: 43.19
soh: 66
hx: 59.35
odo: 49865
QC: n/a
L2/L1: 1009

I am not sure why it still has ten bars.

Did you just buy the car?

No I bought it new. I still have 12 months and almost 10,000 miles until warranty expires. So hopefully it will drop two more bars before then.

The 10th bar dropped today, at 42.97 Ahr and 65% soh. The Ahr gap between bar loss is increasing. Hopefully Ahr does not need to go below 36 before the 9th bar drops.
12th bar dropped at 53.94 Ahr
11th bar dropped at 49.19 Ahr
10th bar dropped at 42.97 Ahr

Man, it's further proof that those batteries on '13s built before 4/2013 are crap. It also seems the table at http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.p ... 84#p455984 is off a bit for loss of 11th bar and off by a lot for loss of 10th bar.

From http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Histor ... n=USCA0195, your city is considerably cooler than mine http://www.intellicast.com/Local/Histor ... n=USCA0993 (I live in a hotter part of SJ, so add a few degrees to the highs).

My used 5/2013 built '13 SV still has all 12 bars but is getting closer to losing a bar. Earlier today it was at
AHr: 56.91
SOH: 87%
Hx: 85.30%
odo: 41,933 miles

On the plus side, you have a decent chance of getting a free replacement before capacity warranty expiration, unlike me. BTW, if you haven't already, can you add your data point(s) to http://www.electricvehiclewiki.com/Real ... acity_Loss? Thanks!

The 4th bar dropped today in my 2012 SL, manufacturing date 5/12. LeafSpy Stats are:

AHr = 41.87
SOH = 63%
Hx = 42.59%
odo = 34,119
2 QC's and 1526 L1/L2s

I bought the car less than a month ago with 9 bars and knew it was close to dropping the fourth bar. The car spent the majority of its time in Georgia, and then about a year in Vegas. So no surprise that the battery has degraded. Now I just have to decide if I should get the battery replaced now or wait until after the summer. I live in Southern Utah, with weather that's similar to Vegas, but always about 10 degrees cooler. Still pretty hot in the summer, though. My warranty is good until late December of this year.

Awesome that at least some people get replacement.
I would wait until mid September. Then visit dealer to start the process.
Today, I would verify the exact date when battery capacity warranty ends.

Don't peppy your pack. Just charge it to full. Don't get stranded just because
you wait until the summer ends :lol:

Hi everyone!

I've been absorbing as much info as possible as I look to get a Leaf.

I currently have a 2013 SV, manufactured date is 3/13, in an "extended test drive", of sorts, until Monday. Aka 5ish more days to make a final decision. In service date is June of 2013, grew up in Davis, CA.

It is at 10 bars, 29078 miles. Just checked LeafSpy and it looks like it only recently dropped to 10. AHr is 49.25, SOH 75%.

I am in Austin, TX. My goal is to take advantage of a new battery under warranty- I am hoping I have heat on my side and can drop the battery over an extended Texas summer. It won't be parked in a garage, it'll be parked in the sun, on the road. My commute/errands will be covered just fine by its short range (40 miles @ ~75% SOC). I will also mostly be charging at public stations and/or work, if I can finagle a plug to use.

I'm already kind of in love with it, but I don't want to be too blind to a fruitless endeavor.

Any thoughts on how feasible it'll be to drop to 8 bars by June of 2018?

Thanks for your expertise and experience!
