Yeah, the Ah bounces up occasionally, perhaps by around 0.5 or so. But he's already about 8 Ah off what a new pack should be and falling with a "brand new" car! This is not normal.

Seems wrong that a new vehicle would already have 7% degradation. I will update with any changes in readings over time.

Should I contact Nissan to tell them that my new vehicle has this issue?
probably good to start a paper trail of your issues. I also think your numbers will rebound. You realistically should not see any degradation for 12-18 months from new. the time between manufacture and purchase is a concern however. We had a long hot Summer but what is really needed is a bit more detail. how many miles on it on delivery?

An electrician working on one of the EVgo units in San Jose told me to plug in the QC first then swipe the card to start, otherwise it makes a comm error and they must reset it before it works again.
Also if the metal head is dropped twice the whole cord has to be replaced at $4000.
Once I learn how to do it, I am going to post my LEAF Spy screens from yesterday. I went down to VLBW as requested by drees. I hope it helps you in some way. I, too have a car which sat a long time. FWIW, with the A/C on most of the day and making no effort to hypermile, I went 78.8 miles.

Today at SOH: 90% and AHr: 56

After 100% charge I get 86 miles on the GOM. That seems lower as well.

Edit Summary:
09/29 - got new car
10/01 - SOH: 95% (first measurement)
10/03 - SOH: 94%
10/05 - SOH: 93%
10/07 - SOH: 91% AHr: 57
10/09 - SOH: 90% AHr: 56

I'm in a similar boat with the OP. I purchased my leaf on 9/30/15 and didn't know to look at the manufacture date or use LeafSpy at the time of purchase. I thought I was getting such a great deal with the purchase price that I kind of rushed it. I didn't realize the 5k NMAC cash would be renewed the next month.

After I got LeafSpy in late October I started tracking the numbers:

10/29 - SOH: 99% AHr: 61.7
11/2 - SOH: 97% AHr: 60.6
11/9 - SOH: 94% AHr: 58.7
11/16 - SOH: 93% AHr: 57.9
11/19 - SOH: 94% AHr: 58.5
11/22 - SOH: 95% AHr: 59.8
11/23 - SOH: 96% AHr: 60.2
11/24 - SOH: 98% AHr: 61.1
11/27 - SOH: 99% AHr: 61.5
12/01 - SOH: 95% AHr: 59.5

As you can see, it's quite the roller coaster. The 93% after only 2,000 miles really scared me, but then it climbed back up to 99%. I just checked the date of manufacture tonight and noticed it is 02/15. Needless to say, I'm disappointed in myself for not doing more research before jumping on the deal. Hopefully the battery will hold up for the way I intend to use it, but I'm worried this will degrade faster than expected.

It looks like the SOH and AHr are moving in sync. Mine is strange that SOH has been stuck at 99% but my AHr is down to 55.

I wonder what your voltage reads at full charge. What does leafspy report as kWh remaining at full?

Don't feel bad. Your not the only one. I learned about battery life and manufacture date too late. I bought our '15 SL on 11/2/15 which was end of month (Oct) for dealer book closing. I realized after purchase it was manufactured 7/14

I negotiated $5k dealer discount off MSRP plus $6k rebate applied as down payment plus our income qualifies for the full $7.5k tax credit. How the NMAC Cash $5k became $6k I don't know. I was negotiating "out the door price" so the dealer found a way to bump the NMAC cash to $6k for a total discount+rebate+tax credit of $5k+$6k+$7.5k=$18.5k

Here are my LeafSpy numbers after only 750 miles on the odometer and one month of ownership. I'm not worried. Worst case at 5 years of ownership the car will be actually 6+ years old and likely need a battery under warranty.

11/15 SOH 95 Ahr 59.04
11/18 SOH 94 Ahr 58.85
11/24 SOH 94 Ahr 58.67
12/02 SOH 94 Ahr 58.90

We really like the car. It's great for running around town. We rarely exceed 60 miles per day and have a 2015 Lexus RX450h Hybrid SUV if needed for longer trips.

Last 100% charge: min/avg/max = 4.115 / 4.121 / 4.132 (17 mV) and kWh was 20.1 (I had a max of 22.6).

Similar here... Bought beginning of September this year, later looked at the MFG date and it was September last year. Got LeafSpy after a month, so already had 800+ miles on it by first measure.

10/25 - SOH: 93% AHr: 58.14
10/27 - SOH: 93% AHr: 57.76
10/30 - SOH: 92% AHr: 57.67
11/2 - SOH: 93% AHr: 58.22
11/6 - SOH: 92% AHr: 57.48
11/9 - SOH: 94% AHr: 58.57
11/10 - SOH: 94% AHr: 58.89
11/11 - SOH: 97% AHr: 60.53
11/16 - SOH: 93% AHr: 58
11/23 - SOH: 93% AHr: 58.37
11/26 - SOH: 93% AHr: 58.19
12/3 - SOH: 92% AHr: 57.42

@Flyct & @iminsandiego, what sort of charging do you do? I've been doing nearly entirely L1 charging (with a few QC thrown in for longer trips) and I wonder if that has something to do with it. The odd bump in there where the SOH was 97% happened after a road trip where the destination had free L2 charging, so I was able to top off using L2 charging. I didn't record the stats after that charge, but that 97% showed up the next day after my regular full L1 charge. After I went back to my normal charge routine it dropped back down. I was avoiding having an L2 EVSE installed because I didn't really need the range, and it will probably be a bit pricey to run a new circuit as I live in a condo, but I'm starting to reconsider.

@Tyger,

I installed an Eaton L2 EVSE at home on 11/16. Before that I used the Nissan L1.

My first LeafSpy Fully charged
GID was
272 on 11/15 w/odo 472 miles
277 on 11/18 w/odo 523 miles
271 on 11/24 w/odo 586 miles
268 on 11/27 w/odo 612 miles
272 on 12/02 w/odo 739 miles

I got LeafSpy on 11/15th.
