I stumbled across this thread looking to solve the same problem. I bought a $15 DeWalt Cordless Drill Holster, and fastened it to the wall near my EVSE (Schneider EV2430WS) with a few screws and washers. The connector fits in there fairly snugly. It has an adjustable quick-release buckle that keeps the connector from accidentally getting pulled out. It looks jury rigged but I prefer that to a broken connector because it fell off the hose reel.

Having recently bought a new home I no longer have a garage. So this became a topic Im interested in (I used to just hang the connector on a shelf in the garage).

I have found on ebay:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/J1772-EVSE-Yaza ... 287wt_1105" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Weath ... 152wt_1153" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I am not as "handy" as so many folks here so for me a "store bought" is a better end result.

If so I can whip up a socket-end with the 3D printer I have. Making a socket out of ABS plastic should be pretty trivial/cheap once I get the design down. It'd be a fun and practical use for our little plastiprinter toy. :)
So I was reading the details of the ebay posting
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Weath ... 152wt_1153" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and I note that this person states they have posted the "stuff" to print your own (if you have a 3D printer as Tugrik BRAGS about :mrgreen: )

Hope to keep this for 14 years as well!

I really like that it doesn't make my cable stick out 4 feet into the driveway.
