I plan to there (Cerritos) this Saturday.
I expect to have a new (demo) RAV4-EV with me in case anyone wants to compare and contrast... or drag race down South St.
I would like to do the opposite of a drag race. Find a quiet street, get the RAV4 and a LEAF going side-by-side at 35 mph, and see how far each can coast in neutral.

I have posted the F1.09 firmware.
Primarily, it adds displaying the "Real SOC" percentage.

See: http://www.wwwsite.com/puzzles/socmeter/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I will bring F1.09 with me tomorrow, and a means
to Flash your GID-Meter, if you desire.

F1.10 should/will improve Logging, but probably not of
much benefit to anybody who does not do Logging,
or a Logger-Person who does not need to get every last
CAN Message.

Along those lines, I have done a crude wall-to-wheels comparison with the LEAF.
If you have any other quickie tests before tomorrow's meeting I'll be happy to try. Gotta bring it back tomorrow afternoon.

A great Gathering with 9 persons, one RAV4-EV, and 6 LEAFs.

Two GID-Meters updated to F1.09, and lots of good discussions.

It was good to see all of you.

Next Gathering in two weeks in Santa Ana, at the Hometown
Buffet on 17th Street, just East of the I-5 freeway.

Next Gathering on Oct 27th, one week from this coming Saturday.
Join us for breakfast at the HTB in Santa Ana, on 17th street,
just 2 blocks East of I-5.

Jeremy is planning to join us.

I will bring the GID-Meter latest firmware update, and I
can bring a Kit for anybody who wants to get one.
Just let me know what you want.

Only 2.5 days to go! Yummy breakfast at HTB. :D

I will bring the equipment necessary to update the firmware i
n your GID-Meter to version F1.09, which adds the display
of a "real SOC" value. If you have the oldest firmware,
version F1.07, you should get this update. If you have
the popular F1.08 version, this new firmware boots up
noticably faster, but adds little really useful function.

If you want to add Logging to your GID-Meter, let me know.
I will bring some parts kits and instructions.

Tony Williams may be able to join us, and he wants
to chat about Logging the LEAF data. I will bring
my Laptop to be able to demonstrate, if wanted.

See you soom, Gary

Me, me, me... unless I am over the "baggage" weight limit. :D
PhotoOp for sure. I will be there, don't want to miss all this entertainment.

Boomer23, have you done a "wheelie" yet ? Perhaps the battery is too heavy, despite the high torque.

With this breakfast, Saturday will be a big day for me, because I am signed-up with a group that is going to get to look through the 100" Mt. Wilson telescope Saturday night. I will get nap Saturday PM.

I haven't tried a wheelie yet, but my bike has the battery in the "downtube" close to the front of the bike, so the cg is pretty balanced. So maybe wheelies are "not supported" .

Looking forward to seeing everyone at breakfast tomorrow, after a couple of missed meetings. Discouraging news to report about the Mitsubishi Chademo (Chad as I've come to know 'him') please see this thread, http://www.mynissanleaf.com/viewtopic.php?f=51&t=4841&p=239350#p239350" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; will fill in with more info tomorrow.
