Since I can't post a poll... I guess people just have to reply.

How do you all read/keep up posts on this forum? Which of these do you do?

- Click View unanswered posts
- Click View active topics
- Click View new posts
- Click View your posts
- Drill down thru all of the areas, looking for new posts
- Drill down only thru selected/favorite/interesting areas, looking for new posts
- Something else

Personally, I most of the time just click View active topics and View your posts. I find it too easy to miss stuff when drilling down thru various due to the random stickies in some of them. So, I rarely do that anymore.

I'd imagine that some people never/hardly return (even to their own posts/threads) or have difficulty keeping up because they haven't discovered some of the links/methods or how they behave.

View Active Topics, and click the icon at the left of the title which
takes me directly to the next unread post in that thread.

CAUTION, read all the way to the bottom of a page, because
once you access a page, the forum system assumes that
you have read all the posts on that page, unless new posts
are added later to that page.

Interesting, did not know about the bolded part and thus not the latter either.

what she said.
and look down the column for interesting stuff.
Yep, that's what I do.

different tabs-
view your posts
view new posts
view active topics
view unanswerd

then open each item to read in a tab, from board index mark forums read then close out the tabs over the course of the day as i finish each page.

oh, actually, I click "view new posts", go down the list and read the one's I want and when done, I just back page to the list again till I get to the end. I check often so typically only have a page and a half of posts to skim.

Active topics

Every once in a while i will do new topics but found that active topics gives me a better look at what is important to the forum in general
