The Clipper Creek has a 20 amp draw.
I will dress up the wiring when the weather warms!!
I bought the Clipper Creek because it is designed for 30 amp service, it was/is on sale, made in the USA and it is portable.
Didn't think I would need a level 2, but this winter has really drawn from the battery and I didn't want to come home with a SOC of 20% and have to wait 12+ hours to bring it to 80% in case I wanted to go back out again. I plan to Level 1 charge 99% of the time as I think it is easier on the battery...maybe a toss up question, I know.
I have an ICE that I could use, (VW Passat diesel, ) but I am spoiled with the Leaf. To get the ICE out is like going back in time!! Only for long trips.
